Amstel Hotel
Quite the Hotel. Hey, what did you want for a thousand bucks a night-cheapest room mind you. Our fellow cruisers stayed here while Boca and Bubs stayed at NH MUSICA for the past 3 nights for less than the cost of one night here-way to go Bubs, Mr. Priceline. Had Boca known this was oh so chic no NH Musica for her....Pleep heard about the Champagne suite and also chided his Dad to explain to him why no CS for the Pleep? So loving to tickle his tongue, Pleep ordered a glass. Knowing his Mom was all about the effervescence, he tried to talk his Mom into getting the 12,000 Euro Glass of Champagne- the one with the diamond it. Yes, the diamond makes more bubbles. Bubba piped up, "I can give you more bubbles with my Swiss Army knife..just put a cross in the bottom of the glass. Eureka. Sadly, so true.

Boca thought the staircase would be the perfect photo shoot for a bride....the never ending hinting hinting to Alex. Actually, we saw many bridesmaid pre- wedding parties all over town. The gals looked like they were having a blast- make that one last single blast.
The Amstel is over the top gorgeous- as they say INDULGE YOURSELF. American celebrities and Europe's royals love the Amstel. Pleep enjoyed a spot of tea in the sunroom and autographed a few photo's. He thought his sunnies would keep him incognito.
Taucktorians gather to grab the TAUCK TRUCK and head over to the boat. Boca looks forward to meeting new friends. Oh joy, mumbled Bubs.

Bubba has done his best to keep Boca away from the Diamond Museum Amsterdam...afraid I would have a hay day in the gift shop Bubs? Since my plat am x is not being welcomed or accepted in many places here, it has curbed my shopping. Boo hoo. The thought of those pesky transaction fees on my Visa even make Boca itch. All Bubs cares about is the luggage weight restriction. I told him no worries as good things come in small packages.
Until the 1940's steam ships still pulled themselves along a rope that at one time stretched 500mies from Melnick, outside Prague, to Hamburg, on a river that is on the average 2,7 m deep. Boca and Bubs will be part of the Tauck Tour for the next 24 days from Amsterdam to the Black Sea. We disembark in Bucharest and hang out there for a couple of days. We look forward to navigating through European history and beauty. Delving into the cultural experiences of 9 countries- Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania.

We are long time Tauck customers. They have done an outstanding job for us around the globe so we look forward to more of the same on the River Cruise on a boat with their name on it. We did do some research on other lines (Uniworld) but decided to stay with previous great experiences. Just good enough will never do for Boca. 116 others we will meet.
